For anyone struggling to display their currently installed Debian "point" release for version 12 (Bookworm),
this will do it...
Open a terminal,
cat /etc/debian_version
12.7
(I just installed version 12.7 upgrade today 2025-08-07).
Cheers all.

Thanks for that, I was wondering how to check. Tried everything but the debian_version. <head-slap>
I did have trouble with the sources.list file and the entry, don't exactly recall what I did wrong, might have been the use of 'stable', but eventually got it right and bumped up to 12.7.
